Got my specialty plates a couple weeks ago, only $30 for the plates besides the $114 registration that goes down every year anyway.
I agree on the frame. The frame gives it a much cleaner look. Here's an example of mine. Covering up the edges of the plate does a lot for the whole area.
I'll be replacing it soon, it's had rust problems for awhile (keeps bubbling the paint ever 18 months or so) and get one that no longer has the wide bottom.

Bump'n this thread, so more member's can see `Zach's new plate & if you think he should frame `it ?
Also, I have a question for everyone & using Zach SuperSuper Monte as an example Question: "Why did GM Chevy put that "Cut Out" above the license Plate ? ?
Some have said it's because of the mold for the rear bumper ? I've heard other say it is for air flow ? ? so the rear bumper won't blow off @ 140 MPH LOL....
Is it a design flaw ? or is there a purpose for this cut out ?
Who Knows ? (I don't 4-Sure: ) I shall look 4ward to your reply & also to read what frame that Zach gets 4 his S.S.

space it might have something to do with the license plate screw holes. if you strip one out you can pop the plastic square out and replace it. that was the first thing that came to mind
