Question ? Future Monte Carlo ?
Hi `Member's,
I'd like to see GM produce a new Monte Carlo
- a new Touring Coupe with Power
- It could be based on the present Camaro Platform. (Rear Wheel Drive)
Base Engine: 3.6.L Direct Injection, 300 + H.P.
SixSpeed paddle/shift auto
or six speed `Stick
Options: V8's ?
Could be produced with less weight then the
Camaro...
Base Price: $22K to $30K

I like your future MC ideas: rear wheel drive; paddle shifter; nice design lines. Better copywrite it before someone steals it!

I like the concept drawing you posted Space. One slight alteration I think it needs to get the Monte Carlo name is the verticle-wedge shaped rear window. That's one of the things that has been passed down to every generation of Monte.

Personally, I would love to see a G8 based Monte Carlo. Scrapping the G8 was one of GM's worst ideas in the last few years.

I'd like it a little bigger than the G8 and it has to have tail lights similar to the 80's cars.

Bigger than the G8? The G8 was the car that replaced the Grand Prix. It was comparable in size to the Grand Prix, the Pontiac brother of the Monte Carlo. Maybe you're thinking of the G6?

GM has a history of sharing platforms, drive-lines etc with other GM models, & that is why I think if there is a interest or demand for another Monte Carlo that GM may consider resurrecting a new future Monte Carlo ?

Since there is no longer a Pontiac, Olds etc...I believe there is a silent demand for a personal 2door Touring coupe with comfortable room for five...(Have you tried to sit in the back seat of a Camaro ?) I hope that member's post their thoughts, idea's, opinions..."Nothing Ventured, nothing Gained"
