Hi EveryBody ~ It's Friday ~ Party Time
Wish `You a SuperDay - WeekEnd

= Third Generation Chevy Monte Carlo -Turbo + V8 and RWD =
The third generation of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo lasted from 1978 through 1980. The first, most notable difference between these cars was a substantial downsizing in weight and size, that was mostly attributed to the fuel embargo. These Monte Carlos were 700-800 pounds lighter, and about 15 inches shorter than they had been in 1977. 1978 Monte Carlos saw an increased trunk space, and a smaller engine compartment. This year, the 350 and 400 built by Chevy for the Monte Carlo in previous years were dropped, and buyers could instead choose between either the standard 231 V6 built by Buick, or the optional Chevrolet 305 V8. The three speed manual transmission came back this year though, but you could also get the automatic as an option. If you bought the optional V8, then this automatic shipped standard. Another notable addition in 1978 was the fact that you could get a four speed manual transmission with a floor shifter with the 305 if you wanted. This would mark the first time that Monte Carlo would offer the four speed since 1971.

1980‎: The Chevrolet Monte Carlo was an American-made two-door coupe introduced for model year ..... There were a total of 13839 turbo Monte Carlo's for 1980. ...

Mornin guys. I gotta admit, I love the front end of the 3rd gen Montes. I like the back end of the 4th gen better but if I could have a 3rd gen front and a 4th gen rear that would be awesome.

Anyway, my weekend has officially started. Probably gonna hop on the Xbox and play a little bit before I have to go run errands.

It's already gone through emissions. Did yesterday. So I'm good for a year (unless I move out of the county to a county where I don't even have to bother). I won't have the money to mod the monte for a while. Most of the car money will be going into the Camaro. Gotta freshen up the motor and get it painted. Although if I can get a deployment soon then I'll be able to do a lot when I get back. Might be doing an LS4 swap post deployment. That's if I don't see another project too good to pass up when I get back from that LOL.

Course depending on where Kendra and I are at that point I may have to spend some of that money on something else.

Mornin, all. I was very glad I got the furnace fixed yesterday - it dropped to the low '40's here, with lots of rain. Right now it's still almost dark out. My poor Monte is shivering in the driveway. Hope everybody has a warmer day than I'm gonna have!
