I think the engine block in my truck is bigger than that car LOL. Anyway, back from Old Chicago. Just gonna relax inside and nurse some beers for the rest of the afternoon before I go to bed pretty early this evening. It's 108 here right now. Be interesting to see how hot it ends up getting.

Here is the view from work before I left. We were getting ready to leave half hourly early to miss this storm but it hit fast and we stayed. Had 60 mph winds. I work at a rock pit and this was a sandstorm basically before the rain.

I had trouble getting onto the Forum today too. It's so scorching hot here I don't even have the energy for bold type. The lawn is parched, the flowers are withering, the air is fiery with particles of hotness that almost blister the skin. Going outside is like walking into a furnace. The inside of the Monte feels like a convection oven set on Full Blast. I would give you more hyperbole and weird analogies here but the heat has squashed my creativityness. Excuse me while I climb into the freezer for a nap.....
