Dave, im sorry to hear about your wifes monte... I tried posting a hint to help you fix the elbow, I guess you didn't get It in time.
I take off the waterpuump manifold to get mine on... install manifold then waterpump manifold with elbow in it because it just slides right on in the angle it'll go anyways.

I know I'm also at a loss, it's honestly something I wouldn't have noticed if my AC wasn't broken and I wasn't driving with the windows open in our parking garage. Because I FEEL nothing, but I definitely HEAR something when I apply the brakes.

i hope the a/c will start to work again for you , i made the mistake thinking i was turning ours up and i turned it to fan(they replaced the ***** and they don't line up.....) it was 103 that day, we had left to do some errands... needless to say it was sweltering in there

Sorry Mod `Mike ~> My Bad...
I was to lazy to read the whole post
Hopefully the below will give you some insight ? ? ? ?
Clicking noises during braking is usually caused by a brake hardware or installation problem. The disc brake pads are held in place by pressure from the caliper against the brake rotor. The factory installs "anti-rattle" devices to stop movement of the brake pads, which will stop the clicking noise. These devices are made of spring steel and over time become brittle and break, allowing the brake pad to loosely ride in its seat, causing rattling.
