Yep, they actually captured her before the Germans could scuttle her. They recovered an Enigma machine and related code materials, but the British had also done this earlier in the war. They towed her to the U.S. and it's one heck of a story how they drug this thing to Chicago. She currently sits semi-restored in the basement of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL after spending years sitting outside the museum deteriorating in the elements.

I went to a place that sounded like that once. In my case it was "LOST IN THE WOODS, Missouri." also known as Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. It was no vacation though. It was eight weeks of basic training for the US Army back in 1986.

My wife has an aunt/uncle/cousins that live in northwest Indiana about 45 minutes away from Chicago, so we've been out a few times.

When we were there we were rushed because GJ (my son in the navy) had limited time to sight see and to visit. He had to ship out for his next duty station.

Good night all, I'm going to bed now. I have to get up to take my girls to their bowling league in the morning, then we're driving to Pittsburgh in the afternoon. My wife has a doctor appointment Monday and the kids are off school, so we're turning it into a mini getaway.
If I can't sleep you still might see me on. LOL

Going to go to bed as well. Jason Aldean concert tomorrow night!! Pretty excited, should be a great concert, hoping that parking isn't terrible, may have to park the monte a few miles away and walk or just take up two or three spots parking lots for major events almost always mean new door dings

Chances are you ordered the part before their truck left the warehouse. The (now defunked) ma & pa parts store I used to do business with could get you a part same morning if you ordered before 9am. If you ordered after 9am they would have it there by 2pm that afternoon. I also do my local parts buying at O'Reilly now. They do tend to have a more experienced/knowledgeable staff compared to the competition. They're also willing to fill special orders.
I've always had good luck with the local Advance (the one on NW broad, not the one on SE broad closer to me LOL) but O'Reilly is even closer to me which works great. Like I said, everywhere else here, even if I show up when they open, says they can't get the part till the next day even if it is sitting in Nashville (all the parts stores have warehouses in Nashville)
