Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Friday!

David- That is something I HATE about the Monte's...the battery location. I have never in my life had a car with such a hard to replace battery. The engineers were asleep on that one. It's not 5th gens, it's 6th and 7th too...

morning all. Yes batteries in these cares are such a pita to do. I think the 5th gen might be a bit easier than the others, changed mine and its nearly impossible. Just doesn't fit where it belongs.

I'm a pro swapping the battery in my Monte. I had one month where I had plenty of practice...

My Dad's 2006 Monte is very difficult!

The 2013 is just in the trunk. It's easy, but I have to go under the carpet, under the jack, and under the spare

Kool should give you a lot more room under the hood

It is very roomy under there, all of the items seem very easy to get to as well.

I'm hoping routine maintenance is a piece of cake on this motor!

Goodnight everyone! Trying to decide whether to buy member Yellowjacket's yellow front bumper w/ Tony Stewart Grille and plate filler or completely repainting my front bumper. The former would be $125, and I don't know how badly his needs repainting.

Accomplished quite a bit today, on my 6th gen, and a friends truck.

On my '01, I replaced both bulbs for my fog lights, which have been out for nearly 2 years, purchased window tint(20% for the doors, 5% side&rear), which will be Sunday's project. I have also decided that on Sunday I will be Smoking my taillights.

OH, I also went to a salvage yard today, with Dustin(friend), to find a driver side mirror for his truck, aswell as a driver side door panel(navy). When we got there, we got his door panel, and found probably 15 of the matching passenger side mirrors for his truck, but no driver's. While searching for mirrors, I spotted another 6th gen, white, that had been t-boned from the drivers side. Decided to look in it, first looking for a good-condition passenger seat. The one in it had been baked in the sun, and was hard, so then I decided to look for other parts that I may need, and picked the hazard switch out of it for $5.

When I got home, I began dismantling my dash, took the old hazard switch out, put the new one in, and put the dash back together. Only problem is... I forgot to plug the switch in...

So, frustrated, I begin pulling the dash back apart, giving myself a 1/4" deep cut in the process. Continued working, and got it wired, and working flawlessly.

Anyways, today was a pretty good day.

Have a good-night's rest everyone!
