1980 Dodge Mirada. It looked like this one, but mine had red interior. I had it for a good 10 years starting in high school. I can't find any pics to scan and I don't have any digital pics, because this was back in the days before these luxuries we take for granted now were commonplace.

Don't laugh at me.
It was 1973 Dodge Colt. Was my Mom's until she let some guy borrow it and he got drunk and wrecked it a little, then I hit a parked car with it and tore the other side up. Ended up driving it and found a 1974 body to put engine in. People had to junk them because engines were too hard to find. Then I went to the 70 Monte Carlo.
I win for ugliest first car. Granted this was back in 81. My sister lucked out and got a 69 Camaro. Beatch. This isnt the car, just a visual image for you..

It was a white 1983 Ford T-Bird with a 3.8 V6 Silver FT Mag wheels and the Good Year Eagle GT raised white letter tires. For a 11 yr old car man it was sharp but had to dump her for a 1992 Plum RS Camaro 25th Anv with 12,000 miles about 3 months later in Nov of 94. Seen the car a few months later at the gas station and it looked like the new owner flipped her a few times I was sick !

I still like them. I had 2 of them. My dad had a couple too. I always considered them to be in the Monte Carlo type class of cars. At one point I thought that's all I'd ever drive.
They're hard to find in nice shape now because some of the plastic pieces dry rot (like around the tail lights) and are not reproduced. Sometimes you'll see them for sale with these pieces completely missing.

my first car was a 1983 camaro rs. my dad bought it off my uncle for 100$ and put about 7500 in it and gave me it as my graduation present in 2006. i was driving down a busy road about 5 mph above the speedlimit and an old man in a honda odyssy went to turn at full speed (seem like) smashed my drivers side and totalled it .
ripped out the the control arm/ pulled the driveshaft apart/ ripped the breaklines off and i went spinning into multiple 360s =\ - he tried to get out of his van.... but had no one to help him get his.......get ready....
wheelchair.......

he was about 90 yrs old

Mine was a 74 Cutlass S with a 260 and a 2 bbl carb. I think my dad paid about 500 for it. It was rusted everywhere. You could pull the bottoms of the doorskin out and unlock the car. This the same car but it looks a little nicer them mine.lol
