FED UP with 1hr and 1min TV Shows!!
I have an idea! Being a SLAVE to Time Warner, because of where I live, I can only record 2 shows at a time. Now that the money-grubbing networks have added 1 minute to some shows, it screws up my recording schedule on some of my favorites! Here's my idea: If anyone else is chained to Time Warner, send them an email asking for a reprogramming of the DVR's to allow a show to be started 1 minute later or ended 1 minute earlier. They just did something similar to remove those yellow "save" buttons from being needed in some cases, so it can be done. Let's force the issue... ok, i'm done, this was an unpaid announcement.... peace

My sister lives in San Antonio.. and she has Uverse there...
You can record up to 4 shows at Once!
also you can adjust in your scheduled shows to extend the time til the shows over instead of being cut off from the ending etc.....
Just something else to consider... (She dumped Time Warner)

i've had issues like that with our DVR, it sucks waiting to watch the show, watching the entire thing and then having the last two minutes cut off!
however with our DVR you do have the option of both starting and ending the recording up to 5 minutes past the schedualed show, scince usually it's the same channels i have problems with they are setup to record about 5 extra minutes before and after the show.

Way back when, WTBS would be set up for 5 after the hour to start programs quite the PITA. Now our local news in Columbia seems to start a couple of minutes early, so your choice is to miss the last few minutes of a show or just be lost on a couple of the lead stories of the day, but don't worry the fluff piece about the homing pigeon finding it's way back to Florida will be seen!

I'm in Kerrville and Time Warner is king here... I miss my Direct TV and my Uverse... but until I find a house to by, kissing the kings ahh... "ring" yeah, that's it... is the only option until they become aware that competition exists.. networks are too big to care.

The problem with their scheduling is forcing me to start a program 1 minute late or end a program 1 minute early. That extra minute that they run, say, into 9:01, with 2 programs set to record from 9 to 10, means that extra 1 minute of stupid exceeds the DVR's capacity. If they can do what they already are capable of, what is stopping them from doing the other? I'll bet lawyers are involved....lol.. it's always lawyers
