Well I must be the only one that's got time to post in the Forum page here.
Sense the last time I posted the Gas price has dropped again yesterday I saw $1.78 for Reg. Unleaded 87. Not bad.
Got to hand it to the President thru all the garbage he has to deal with he keeps moving forward with positive results. For our great Country.
the Daytona 500 is over now with the 11 car winning and I hope that the driver of the 6 is doing okay.

Are you still down in Texas, Dean? Nice downward trend for gas prices there; be nice to have that nationwide.

As long as we're talking gasoline, is it also anyone else's experience that fuel economy gets worse in winter and better back in the summertime?
Seems to always happen. Then again, my '95's 16-gallon gas tank is not as big as it should be for this size of car, I'd say. 19 or 20 would be better, and would help with the feeling of "getting better mileage". (Fuel gage needle wouldn't go down as fast with a bigger tank.)

Good afternoon guys.

Sun is blasting here in the Mitten today and it looks like we'll have a stretch of dry weather through this weekend. I was able to get the Malibu washed yesterday and boy did it need it

Yep. My '13 Malibu averages ~33 MPG in the summer and ~29 MPG in the winter. The winter blend of gasoline is different than the summer blend and gas is different across the Country. Here's a good article explaining it > https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a1...ine-explained/

Yep still down here we went to Port Isabel and Padre Island yesterday saw some neat stuff and drove down on a beach area, but I had to dodge alot of big puddles to make sure I didn't get stuck in one they were Car sized puddles I think when the tide comes in it fills that area up.
The gas prices really are getting good around here, depends on the station you go to. Walmarts have gas here, Costco and Sams and the grocery store called H.E.B. has gas at the best price of $1.78.
My little SUV gets terrible gas mileage back home, but if I put some Lucas oil fuel additive in it and we went to Colorado it got a little bit better about a 3 MPG something to check into.
The Best gas mileage Car I ever owned was an 89 Olds 98 it would consistently get 35 mpg with a heavy foot. I also owned an 89 Olds Touring Sedan got about the same as the Monte Carlos. The best Rental Cars I got were VW Passant would get high 30's ever 40 sometimes, the Chevy Cruze and Malibu were in the 30's The Fords all were not so good. They were all current year auto's that I rented from Avis usually.

These were the same car but different mileage for sure.

89 Olds touring Sedan 26 mpg

89 Olds 98 35 mpg

Good morning guys. Chilly morning today (feels like 2 degrees) but still enjoying this string of sunny days here. Supposed to be in the 40s this weekend! Gas is currently around $2.40/gal for regular here in SE MI.

I was just notified yesterday that my '06 SS has been invited to be a part of the ‘featured vehicle display’ at this year’s Chevrolet Nationals in Carlisle, PA

Good morning guys. Warm weekend; made it up to 50 degrees yesterday. And now we're looking at 3-5" of snow Tues night into Wed.

The 68th Detroit Autorama is this Fri-Sun and we have two Michigan Monte Carlo Club members representing with these two beautiful Montes. Prep on both of these cars has been well underway and they'll be arriving at Detroit's TCF Center Wednesday for setup. I'll be there spectating Friday evening. Good luck to these guys!

Good morning, it's Fat Tuesday - aka Paczki Day!

It's suppose to start snowing around 4pm this afternoon and continue through Wednesday night - a good 28 hour duration snow. Totals have been revised again and apparently we're now looking at 6-8".

Good morning guys. We got 5.5" of fresh white stuff yesterday and it has finally let up but the roads are still pretty bad; luckily I got home yesterday before they got icy and there's definitely some super iffy spots this morning. Clearing skies today and windy, gusting up to 40 mph.

Setup is underway for the 68th Detroit Autorama at TCF Center. Our two Michigan Monte Carlo Club members participating moved in yesterday; a little challenging and long process with the snow but they made it. Both Montes are looking great! Day two of move in is today and the show opens at Noon tomorrow and goes til 7pm Sunday.
