I like the black on my 6th gen. I like black for any car really so I'm just gonna say black for everything.

I used to really like black on most cars but my victory red on my monte has made me really like color. The red also seems to hide a lot of the flaws plus looks great after it has been waxed and washed.

Not really a fan of the first few gens of montes to be honest but if I had the money to buy the ones I like and given the choice to paint them the color I want it'll be something like this:
4th gen SS in a more pure and clearer black than what the original color offers. or if it's an LS sky blue or light blue.
6th gen. Dark emerald (really dark green)
7th gen. Purple or candy purple, u get the idea on this.

No I definitely feel you on that. When I was growing up my best friends older brother had a white 4th gen and an old stingray. Both white but the Monte had red paint mixed in so depending how the light hit it, it either looked white or red.

My favorite colors of Montes (by generation)
1st-silver
2nd-gold
3rd-Maroon
4th-White
5th-Black
6th-Purple
7th-Blue

I'm biased on the 2nd gen. 'cause gold is what my '76 was. My "00 gen. 6 is green, but I really prefer the hard to find purple's.

one of my favorite all time colors (of course I can't remember the name right now) was the dark blue offered on some 5th gen montes (possibly only '97-99 Z34 cars if memory serves) very rare color, looks almost purple if the light hits it right, otherwise just mile deep blue. nothing else quite like it offered on other gens I've seen.

6th gens I love yellow (especially pace cars).

4th gens either black, dark red or white but MUST have a dark red interior.

victory red & black look great on any gen (or any vehicle for that matter)

X1,000,000,000 my monte looked terrible up close but with enough wax she still shines!
