Facebook tracking is under scrutiny

I realize that a lot of web sites use cookies, but I've never heard of one collecting that much info until now.

 

Hi `Mike, I don't think it's just Facebook that is tracking your information...I think everything we do on the World Wide Web is recorded by someone or something

Everything we post can be seen by everyone on the Web.
I'm not a member of FaceBook & the MCF is my only social site (I don't have time for any other web sites), except auto sites

I don't do the social networking thing either, so I don't worry about Facebook, Twitter or any of them tracking me. I know that a lot of places like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. also keep track of you for marketing purposes. Even a lot of the ISPs like AOL and Comcast do it. I was just a little surprised by the amount of info that Facebook collects. You're right though, you can't make a single move on the WWW without someone tracking you.

 

I hardly use Facebook. I have an account but have not been on there in over a month. My kids use it so I check on there to see what they are up to occasionally. I don't like the tracking. Who the hell give them that right?
I may end up using the social site more though. I have been advised that if I want to run for president in 2016 it is the best way to reach the masses.

 

I use facebook but honestly is it really a suprise I mena I kinda figured somehting like that anyways lol

 

Google records every search that anyone has ever done all stored in their servers. They can pull it up at anytime whenever they want.

 

It's no surprise every site tracks u, doesn't bother me much all I ever get on is fb, mcf & eBay lol

 

as long as you're not doing anything wrong or sharing too much, who cares lol, don't share SSN... everything else can be gotten back if stolen really..
