This coming February it will be 2 years since I was on FB. I learned a lot when I was working in the correctional system about how people use FB to learn everything about the people they were either "stalking, or going to rob" they could tell just about everything they needed to know about a person by logging on to their FB page, such as habits, hobbies, interests, where they live, telephone numbers, family members. You can scroll down pages of some people and learn so much information about where they are going to be and not going to be it is kind of scary, not to mention what their entire family looks like, cars they drive, license plate numbers, where there houses are etc. etc.
FB was a great platform when it was first conceived as it gave people that live across the country a chance to be closer to friends and family as well as finding lost friends from school, but as usual people generally use whatever they can to find a way to gain an advantage for themselves and not always in the good sense.

Yea I was on FB years ago then realized how lame it was. Especially now, women and men begging for attention on pictures they post everyday of themselves on FB and instagram. If you are a decent looking woman or man and need a confidence boost put some pictures up on facebook and have 100 guys tell you how good you look. That has go to go your head and that is why a good portion of the young people today are so self absorbed. People don't even have to leave their houses anymore. They can fish for compliments right from their bathroom selfie pictures. By the way the dumbest word I have heard this year is "selfie"

That is my rant for today.

Facebook is how I reconnected with cousins and family that are a fair distance away, and haven't seen in a while.

As far as FB groups. They're great for quick questions, keeping connected with the others, info on meets and such.

I think FB still has a lot of life in it. But it's not "the cool thing" anymore. Now that it's mainly populated by adults/parents and businesses.

I use FB for my own amuzement an keeping up with friends I don't get to hang out with much anymore..I don't like to use it for personal stuff it's really not an open subject.I will vent an rant about my day or stupid people an poke fun at things in general. If I do have to talk to some one about personal stuff or anything that I don't want everyone to se I just message them. Not stick it out there for all to see.
I will say it does keep me in touch with some friends that live far away

I dont believe facebook is dying solely because everyone stays in touch that way and that's how I keep in contact with all of those that I wish to stay on contact.

All of my car friends and monte friends talk to me on there as its convenient and mobile.

I don't like internet trash talking. Brings everybody down IMO.

If your gonna do light hearted trash talking do it in person where people can read your emotions and not take undue offense.
