I've had my hose freeze up before. I usually stretch it out on the driveway in the sun and let it go....

But usually I do wash the tips of the hose and the nozzle before washing my car. Also getting a nozzle with different water settings (especially one called SHOWER) is the best thing ever. I use rinse to get all the grime off, then I use shower (which is nice and light) to get all the soap off.

X-CUZZZZZ me weve had to let members go for less !!!!!!! I don't even care to know you're laundry routine !

Now to topic most midwesterners know not to leave the hoses out past november in fact my spigots have a gate valve inside the house as well as out so they don't freeze, you're lucky the hose didn't crack in half. winter months I wash the beast inside our shipping dock with the amazing MR.CLEAN wash gun with spot free rinse. during summer same routine as well as scouting out the various Fund raising high school or church hand washes. and for the record I.ve never seen anyone physically blow out a garden hose

In the process of rolling the hose onto the hose reel in our barn, the hose naturally drains itself. The only time I have had a hose freeze on me was up at school.
