...Thanks `Zach for your vote & post I agree, if they monitored me in my personal ride they would take away my license/car & ban me from driv'in

If you drive the speed limit in Florida, you get run over yes, 4-Sure LOL
I do drive safe in my company truck, but when the roads are empty I like driving fast & faster LOL

I look 4ward to seeing what our member's vote in the above poll..."Be Safe Out there Big Brother is watching 4-Sure Ooooooooooooooooooh`O

I was wondering what exactly these things did, thanks for the article space. I would say this is a real debatable topic. I see yes it could potentially save you money on your insurance if you drive good and dont do crazy things. But it would be annoying knowing someone is tracking everythign you do.

No, because I would end up paying more. Not that I'm a bad driver, but I don't have some of the best driving habits LOL

My roommate tried this, and they wouldn't give him any discounts because he does a lot of driving at 3am. He works an overnight shift, so those are just the hours of his driving. According to the insurance company, that meant that every night he was driving home from a bar, not driving to work.

Also, I have an aggressive tune on my car, my readings would show high RPM shifting and they will probably just assume I am racing, when I'm not.

My rates are not terrible, especially for having 2 cars. I'm happy as it is.

Yeah I work nights so that would definitely work against me. Plus around here you have to mash the pedal to the floor just to be able to merge onto the interstate. Plus with all the idiots sometimes the only option is to floor it to get out of the way. Saving my own butt would in effect raise my insurance rates. Plus as much as I pull data from the car while I'm driving, I need access to the OBD port. Even without the other reasons, that last reason alone would be enough to not want anything to do with this. I can't have some little transmitter taking up my OBD port all the time, especially when I start fine tuning.

Actually this might be something I could use, I hardly ever drive after midnight anymore and rarely drive more than 30 mile a day. I'm gonna have to look into this a little further...... Thanks for posting

i say yes... the only reason for that is that apparently its only for 6 months.. while i drive very aggressively, for 6 months out of the year i drive a work truck , im lucky if i put 200km/month during that time..

That being said im not sure if this is being offered in Canada yet?
