Default Electrical extension cord

Hi everybody, I recently bought an 2001 Pace Car Edition Monte, and while inspecting the engine I found out an electrical extension cord just like the ones you plug into the 110V sockets. Does somebody knows what is it for? Hope anybody knows what I'm about.

Welcome to the MCF
What is the cord connected to ? Can you take a picture & post it ?
Tell us about your Pace Car ? How many miles ? Are there any modifications ? Maybe the previous owner tried to convert your Monte to run on electric ? (LOL) >Sorry, I couldn't control my thoughts again (LOL).

Look forward to your reply....

Since we have no Idea in what state you live in... or where you purchased the vehicle from...

Heres a guess...

Its quite possible... They lived in a very cold climate.. Thus either used/plugged in a trouble light to help keep the block from freezeing during the cold snap,(winter) or even had an electric dip stick to accomplish the same goal of keeping it from freezeing (Like an ice cube) or.... They may have had a battery issue/tender to keep the battery maintained.. and mistakenly left it in the car/or has a built in heater for the Motor during the dead of winter?

PS...
we have no idea what your about....

Hi, thanks for the answer. I was having a hard time trying to know what was its use. I've seen this also in some pics of an Offical Pace Car on ebay. So I guess this is stock for my Monte then, I brought it from Canada. I live in the border with Calexico, CA. I live in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. I'll post more pics later for you to see it.
