Default Door chimes

Ok I have a problem with the door chime on my Monte. Its way too loud. Yes I went on th dash and lowered it. But I still think its too loud for me. I e mailed 2 members on here for help. And they still haven't got back to me. So I'm not sure where to put this. Ohhh I know where to stick it all right. But My question is. Can I disconnect it ? pull a fuse or something. I just don't want it on. Can someone help me with this PLEASE. Thanks . Rick

You know all those fuses and wires and doodads below the dash where your knees are when you're driving? I would advise yanking all of them out - then check to see if the chimes have stopped.

Rick in the old days we could reach under the dash, feel for the vibrating buzzer, yank it out and pitch it as far as we could throw. I've noticed on these new cars the buzzer noise comes across the radio speakers. How F'ed up it that? Soppy pal I've got no answers for you. My Town & Country has a feature where I can program it out if I stand on my head with the remote in my left hand and push the panic button with my right toe four times in three seconds..... You get the idea. I wanted to get rid of it but Susan said that the new van is hers and unless I want a call at the most inconvienent time because of a dead battery because lights were left on I'd better leave it alone. Something about this bites. I make the payment!
