Street racing doesn't endanger livesanymorethan a woman on a cell phone and a screaming kid in the back seat... I'm not saying its right by the slightest amount, but You only live once, let some adrenaline flow. Just don't get caught...

Ah Scott (fullmonte)just hit the nail on the head! We race in the streets, more to beat our chest and to show the World (in reality the one or two people that see it) how bad we are, how much of a man (or aplha female) we are!

Wow, that is the RAW TRUTH! It is the same reason I detail my car so much, or put a 1000% effort into everythingI do. To get the attention, to beat my chest and say... SEE ME, SEE HOW GOOD I AM, SEE HOW NICE OF THING I HAVE, AM I NOT ABAD PERSON, etc... I just had an Epiphany!!!

Hi `Craig,I like goodrecognition, but when it comes to cars,I don't race to get attention. I race for thethrill of competition, and too see`if my car, and my driving skills are better then mycompetitor's....To prove only to myself, andnot others.I went through that stage of "Look what I got, & you don't",or, I'm better then you are at this : )I found it empty. I learned to be happy with what I have, andnot drive my life by what other's have.My realistic `dream is to have a car like, orequivalent to a Z06 Corvette, but I want it for the driving experience, the engineering, the Power. Not to impress anyone, but to impressmyself by it's power, and that I was able to obtain oneof my dreams. I would love to share my dreamswith my friends, but not to impress, but to `sharethe rewards of my dream, and experience.I know that I am way different then the rest.(I've been told by many that I am: )
Many have said that I am `naive, and that I have been blocked fromthe `Real World, by living in a isolated area of the SunShine, and being surrounded/taught by older people. I may not be Street City smart, but I'm learning about our World,&human `beings. [8D]I learn something everyday on the web, and in mylife. It's
the way I have been programmed by my grandfather, and I've found his teachings to be `true, & they work good for me.I haven't deleted any of his `inputs.I respect, and understand your post, but I don't believeit applies to `all, or not to me : )Thanks for your `post, your input, and all your contributionsto the MCF. We appreciate. Thanks for reading my words, my thoughts.Peace Out, `Space

But you are lying to yourself!YOU WANT TO WIN! To prove YOU better thanyour competition! So that you can beat your own chest - and that is the TRUTH! There is NOTHING WRONG with having pride in one's self - NOTHING! There is NOTHING WRONG in working hard to BETTER YOURSELF and to be better than others! There is NOTHING WRONG in wanting to be RECOGNIZED for your accomplishments and liking it! HOWEVER, ItDOES becomes a PROBLEM if you begin to treat others BADLY because you BELIEVE you are SUPERIOR to them! OR when you walk around telling the world HOW GREAT YOU ARE! WORSE OF ALL, it becomes TOTALLY DISTRUCTIVE when you start putting others down and talking poorly ofothers to build yourself up.SPACE - you have the right to be proud of yourself -- why not... We are proud of you!!!

Hi `Craig,
I never said/posted that I didn't want to win : ), but I've learned to `behumble in victory, and a good sport in defeat. [X(]I do my best, not to blow my own horn, and let my actions speak for themselves.I am proud of my good deeds, but I regret my bad ones.Craig, thanks for your thoughts, your words. I respect them.Peace/Out

Hi Lesley,
I respect your position on not racing. I'm curious, have you ever
raced ? May I ask what is the fastest that you have driven
you powerful 2007 AwesomeMonte Carlo V-8 SS ? ?
What is the highest RPM, or Speed that you have had your SS ?
Have you ever had a speeding ticket ?
It would be so difficult for me to own a 07 V-8 SS and not
jump on `it every once in awhile , atleast to blow the carbon
`off the valve's.
Lesley, you are fortunate to be the owner of the last year
Monte Carlo SS. Good Luck!
Look forward to your reply. Thanks for your post, & you opinion
on racing.

space,

I have never ever raced. The first day I had the monte..well..I had it to 105 down the back roads of Kiowa Colorado. I have had one speeding ticket when I had a 2000 mustang. The only way I would race my car..is if when I pay it off and if I could find a safe place to do it. We do have tracks around here..but all the kids would want to race..and I am just not into it I plan on keeping her until the engine falls out or blows up LOL I love this car...even better then all the mustangs I have had. I will never look at a ford again LOL

Hi Lesley,Thank you for your responds, and honesty.Honesty is always refreshing, in our world today.I was happy to read that you have jumped on your Monte, and enjoyed the awesome powerof your 5.3L V-8Also, it was great to read that `maybe in your future,`if the condition were right, that you wouldrace that FORDMustang GT, on that deserted back country road : ) [8D]WoW [8D]I hope in my future that I gainyour maturity.Until then, wanta `Race ?Peace/Out,`Space
