I dream of living in a country, a place that is safe for all.
Is there such a place on Planet Earth ?
A place that our family, children, friends can go anywhere in our country and be safe.
To live without Fear..

To live without Fear..
–noun 1. a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
I just watched the World News that inspired this Thread Topic.
So many people in our World living in `Fear, in pain.
So many people in the USA living in fear

I want to be able to park my car without someone
causing damage to it, or stealing it.
To leave our homes and not worry about someone breaking in : (
I believe we should take care of our country first, before
we go to others and try to fix their problems...

Isn't that the way it should `be ?
If it isn't, why not ?
What are you doing to make it better ?
(I ask myself ?)
Please post your thoughts...

I feel safer in it than any other vehicle I have. I trust it to protect me, and it feels good and drives so well that I feel like I am safe making any maneuver I need to and safe if the worst case scenario happens.
I don't feel quite as safe in my Torino, but I feel very safe with both of my seatbelts on in it, and I never feel quite right in our '50 Chevy truck which does not have seat belts.

Hi `Duane, thanks for your words, & it's great to read
that you feel so safe in your Monte Carlo , but
I did not know that you are living in your `Monte
..Oh, I did feel safe`sleeping in my Monte a few times..
Do you feel safe in the town you live & where you

I used to feel safer in my hometown. I chose to raise a family where I grew up, that says a lot. But things change over the years like having to check that they doors are locked every night.
I don't feel safe in places I used to work or shop (say... Salinas CA) and avoid them. Also stay on higher alert when in tourist areas. Don't want to fall victim to the bloodsuckers that prey on tourists.
As for the Monte - wasn't it awarded a high safety rating? My insurance agent said something and the rate is lower than the SUV it replaced.

I live in the same area I grew up in however now on the north side..my direct neihbors to the east and south sides are in law enforcement and the cruisers are always present, bats and pistols behind the doors ect. as far as driving the wife and girls are very alert drivers and really don't hit risky traffic...myself I really don't think much about it with the exceptions of days known for heavy heavy party drunks!!! and yes I am one to call em in when I see em!!!

Oh crap. I didn't realize you said do you feel safe where you life and drive the car, Ithoguth you were asking if I felt safe just whenever I drove it!!!
Yeah, I feel safe enough. My girlfriend goes to NC State, that's a wild place sometimes if you go to the wrong place. I go to a smaller private college in southeastern NC and I feel perfectly safe walking across campus in the middle of the night. my hometown is very safe in my opinion... the editorials in the paper are about how we have too many police officers, hehehe.
