Great thread topic, depressing car future. I always have loved the 2 door sedans. My first car was a Vega GT. Not hardly a sedan but 2 doors with a recing stripe wich made it faster right? Then I moved up to a '72 Chevelle. Love that car. I even once owned a red Thunderbird with the 302. I still love the Monte design but there is not much out there like this these days. I think GM sold it's soul to the Crossover (dirty word) SUV market. When "win on Sunday sell on Monday" faded away in racing the good cars have also faded. As for the Chrysler brand, the RWD Charger and 300's are nice with the V8, they still have the big car feel. They just don't make a 2 door any more.

For entertainment purposes... I love the quote "No one modifies or treasures their toaster" That makes me laugh. Thanks bumpin96monte! I use my toaster oven all the time and if I could mod it it would be one bada## machine!!

I feel this is a really weird era for cars. We still have a lot of cars coming to market and neat ideas, but I feel the visual styling, things people want to mod, just is all fading away. The other thing that does not help is the sad trend of kids who do NOT have any ambition to get a driver's license. That was a right of passage! And not some kids are "eh". I know one person who bought their kid a car late 90's/early 2000's Cadillac El Dorado and yet the car sat for 2+ years, kid never attempted to get his license. The car was eventually sold! WOW! I would never thought I would see the day!
