It broke my heart to hear about this. Dick was aways the key part of NewYears Eve for all my life and I know it won't be the same without him.He had a good and full life I believe.

I know I'm dating myself, but I grew up as a preteen and teenager watching American Bandstand hosted by Dick Clark. His name was synonymous with the music scene for many years. He will be missed by many...

I remember watching him and Ed McMahon on TV's bloopers and practical jokes.

So I'm dating myself too, but I remember rushing home from school to watch "American Bandstand" and learning how to dance like the cool kids in Philadelphia. Seattle Mike, remember the phrase "It's got a good beat and you can dance to it"???

Dick Clark truly had a long respectable career and will be missed by many. He showed us what a talented person willing to work hard can achieve in our country.

As one of the Senior members on here. My sister & I used to watch AMERICAN BANDSTAND EVERYDAY. We even knew some of the kids names that danced on that show. When a singer came on and sang his or her song. We used to run out and buy the 45 record. Sad day in music world . Thanks you Mr Clark for doing what you did for us all.

Dick Clark is another clean wholesome American that was the best at what he did and will be missed for certain. Names like Dick Clark, Fred Rogers, the original Mickey Mouse Club regulars have never been replaced. It is sad that our entertainment now seems to lack morality and wholesome values.
Just to make sure there is no confusion, I watched the Mickey Mouse Club in reruns. It was a little before my time.
