Deuce got hit and run in parking lot
Went to my wife's family reunion today they had a whole section reserved including parking. I parked the car and helped wife carry food to the picnic site. Wenr back to the car to "De-bug" her. All was fine.
20 minutaes later father and brother-in law wanted some pop. I went back to the car and saw like freakin sandy mud on the hood and bumper. I freaked and got my detail solution and micro fiber rag to clean it
Below is what I found. Every one told me "Its just a car Tadd" NO! your 2000 buick is just a car your 1990 truck is just a car. I placed too m any hours and dollars in the Duece to be "Just a car" What reallly burns me it was a relative that backed into her and did not fess up to it but just moved his/her car to a diferent location.
Whole hood will have to be repainted and there are stress cracks in the bumper paint..so it also will have to be re-painted. Chevy logo is messed up and chrome grill frame is also scratched up

Your car is not some cheap nick-nack you bought at the dollar store last week. They may not care about cars, but some of us do. And I'm sure they'd be angry if you damaged something they like.

It's "just a car" to people who don't detail and care about their cars. Regardless, it's NO excuse for someone doing what they did. If they threw a baseball through a window in your house, is it "just a house" or is it your HOME.
How about now the hood will rust where someone carelessly hit it and now you have to hope a body shop will do the work as well as the factory (I had a hood on my '94 Grand Am replaced because of an accident that was not my fault, a few years later, it's chipping and rusting where it was painted, my step-mom's '00 Grand Am had to get a roof panel repainted due to an accident with a deer, it too has rusting now at the edges).

Thanks friends. I am soo mad I could spit. Glad the hood didn't crack it is made up of a type of lightweight fiber glass gel coat thingie.
It is a small scratch but small or big the whole hood including the gold stripes have to be re-done to get the clearcoat and color match right. The bumper has stress cracks in the paint.
Some faimly members help me look around for a vechile with red paint on it but we couldn't find it.

Sorry about your car man. Maybe its a good thing you dont know which relative did it. Ever wonder how those long family feuds start? Lol. Just think, 30 years from now some young family member would ask how the feud started. "Well it all started when so'n'so backed into Tadd's car...."
