Default Deuce damaged

Well this is not starting out to be a good season for the Deuce
She threw a wheel at the dealer's and sub stained about 4k damage

I had brought a set of lug nuts from a well known part store
They seam to fit good and snug but the threads where not deep enough and they
striped my studs under the pressure of driving

Further investigation shows these lug nuts where for an. 06 ford not 06 Chevy
It happened as the dealer was driving my car around to me

The auto store HQ has been working with us

Hagerty said they pay but I just got Hagerty last week and am afraid of getting cancelled

Hope this part store comes thru

Wow, that is horrible. You are right you are not having a good year so far. I hope it starts to get better for you man and you get your car fixed quick. It just shows that ford is not a good company.

Ouch man, Sorry to hear. Good thing that didn't happen on the highway and you didn't get hurt.

Wishing you the best Tadd!! I am hoping that the Deuce's recovery from this is 100% and that all parties (such as Hagerty Insurance, the parts store and anyone else involved) treats this with the proper respect it deserves.

Keep us updated and again, hoping for the best!!

Man what a hit, hopefully the underside is not all beat up to very bad. Your right Tad if you were out rolling at 65mph and lost a wheel, it would have been ugly, guardian angel did intervene.

Did you say awhile back that you went to a cemetery to visit your fathers grave, and the lady at the desk helping you to find it's location opened the card file drawer and your fathers locater card was already sticking out, kinda suspect it was your dad who caused you to spark out on the car. things do manifest more often in the form of electricity.

That is sad to see damage like that on such a nice car.
My sister lost a wheel once, on the hwy. Nobody hurt but it really, really tore up the car. The shop who put the wheels on denied everything, and got away with it.
It's so hard to prove these things in court.
Even if you can prove they gave you the wrong part, it would be whoever installed them at fault. And they would just pass the blame elsewhere and so on.
