Day one of two
Well today The Monte's going on a long trip. The 1st since I've had her. 110 miles around trip! Going to another friend garage about55 miles from my house. To help him put his 454 in a 1972 SS Chevelle. So my Baby is all cleaned up ,gased up were ready to go in about 30 mins. So I'm kind of excited. Maybe in a week or so. Monte's BIG BROTHER can come out & play also. There's a Chevelle meeting in a week or two. Withthe rain we've been getting. almost all the salt is gone. But not the POT HOLES ....Just thought I'd share this with you. and were OFF..............................

I hope you have fun Rick! We had a hard rain yesterday (my Monte stayed clean!) so I it looks like all of the salt is gone here. 1 month and counting till I get the 03 out of storage and I can't wait!

Have a great trip, Rick...I envy you, getting to drive your Monte that far. Tonite I'm driving 17 miles to work at the wildlife center and I can barely afford the gas to get there - it went up to $3.60 in St. Louis. Good luck with the engine install - post pics!

Well thanks for all the good wishes! It was one busy day. Put on over 220 miles on saturday. Down state to Rosemount. Mn Where i spent 4 hrs helping with a 454 install. Then as always a B/S session Beer & burgers. Then came home. Now thats 110 miles trip. Then headed east Lino Lakes thats another 106 miles round trip. For my Buddy's 25th Wedding anniv party. So that's over 200 miles in one day. And I still have over 1/2 a tank of gas left over. You can bet your A** this baby is going to Fargo soon. I didn't know it would do this good on fuel. LOOK sorry No pictures. Got there with camera in hand. Battery DEAD! Damn it. Left the house in the morning at 9 am. Got back at 9 pm. Long day BUT SO MUCH FUN. Ohhhh on emore thing in between. When I came home to pick up my wife. I started up the CHEVELLE. For the 1st time this season. Of course with the Headers OPEN. Neighbors were outside. Mini party. They came over to see what the noise was about. Now saturday was a great day. yahooooooooooooooooooooooooo
