Could use input on choosing my next car
Gonna let go of my monte soon, 11 years I had it and now I'm finally bored of it but truly I'm more in need of a bigger daily driver, perhaps more powerful too. I'm strongly considering the GP GXP over all other cars. Could use some input toward this car is or if I'm better off without it and considering something else like you tell me...

^ i'd be test driving forever
But I agree with Mike, make a list of the cars you like, research em, test em and see which would probably be the best.

This was my list before I bought the 2013:
Scion FRS
Camaro
Fiat 500 Abarth
Test drove everything, loved the styling and feel of the Camaro the most. Also the Abarth 500 was on a long waiting list.

Had seriously looked a getting a GXP as well. Not really bigger then a Monte just more doors. Being around here I'm sure you've heard about the transmissions being a weak spot on the 5.3 liter cars. That being said my mom has an 08 Impala SS... it's the reason I had seriously looked 2 at the GXP. Good luck with the search & I'd be amiss if I didn't ask... G8????

The Grand Prix GXP is known for tranny issues so be willing and ready for an upgraded rebuild and at a minimum a tranny cooler unless otherwise already done. Not going to lie, Im really a Pontiac guy at heart so I would say the GP GXP. Also look into the G8 GT (6.0l NA) or GXP (supercharged 6.2l). There really isnt much for bigger cars anymore. Everyone seems to want smaller more fuel efficient cars. You may be better off getting an SUV, crossover, or truck depending on how much bigger you are really looking for.
