Default Clone Identification, Can you ID a Clone? Any Cloned car post it here.

Ok that said I am attaching several photo's of a 1963 Impala SS, I know a fellow who is a collector has a bunch of Cars Real nice ones. So a few years ago I saw them on display and took some pictures and after further review I can safely say this is a Clone of a 63 SS not sure he knew this I have not been able to speak with the guy to see. The 1963 Impala SS was the (best Super Sport Car) you could get back then they had not invented the Chevelle until 64, and the first Monte Carlo came out in 1970.
So I will post a few pictures and if you can see what I see let me know. Then if you have a pic of a cloned car post it here and we can see what we will learn about Cloned vs. Real cars.
If you review the photo's #3 the interior shot with steering wheel and dash is the story teller. What do you think? do you see it?
The others show the Trim, Emblems, the Console the seats and all are correct. The SS had the engine turned trim, this one does too. Check it out and reply back.

True; the one I had on mine said that also, you can also see in the Speedometer at the end of each side the metallic triangle that is behind the glass doesn't match the engine turned trim on the lower dash around the ignition, light switch and radio. .

I have added the photo of the dash, The Horn ring says Impala on this one and I circled the locations on the Dash to check, Note: that the RED Arrows show the difference in the Dash and the Speedometer trim ends.

Default Next one up is the Chevelle 70, 71,72

The 1970, 71,72 Chevelle is my next one up for the Clone Identification. We will look at the Cowl Induction Hood, front grill, Trim, Stripes, the Dash, The Seats, Color's, and suspension. It has been awhile since I have owned mine but I had a few. COWL INDUCTION hood. This is a real one the cowl induction hood had the Vent Flap that opened when the Car hit the gas. You may see one without the flap that has the Cowl Induction emblem on it, but normally it was left blank. The Yellow hood Cowl has the emblem but no Flap it was most likely applied after a restoration. The engine photo shows the engine and the seal at the Air cleaner that mad it actually function. Stand on the Gas the flap opened up and injected air directly into the air cleaner chamber.

Default Did they make one

In 1972 I ordered a new Chevelle from the Dealer in Iowa. I wanted to get it in Black, this was not an available color on the 72 Chevelle. Midnight Bronze was the closest to Black. I ordered a Silver one instead.

This was a cool ride, chic's really liked it, there was always one that wanted to drive the thing. But that was a rare grant to the request.

In the Garage you can See the back of the 66 Caprice and the 77 Camaro RS. There were more too.

Default Identify the 70 to 72 Chevelle clone

The interior gives up the Clone on the 70 to 72 Chevelle and ElCamino. See the 2 Dash photos the round gauges are the SS the Straight speedometer is for the Malibu. To make this change for a new dash they tell me is very expensive. But if you put a new Big block in it and all the other right stuff the Dash should be on the list.
