Classic Cars
And mice to not mix.
Yesterday I drove my '57 Wagon. Since it was half way nice outside I took it out for a new hours. Got home about 9pm. Backed the Wagon in the barn and lot & behold a freaking mouse runs across the barn floor. I tried to smash the vermit but it ran off.
Everyone knows cars & mice do not mix.
So I stopped at Wally World after work this morning. Bought some mouse bait and traps. We'll if I catch anything? (which I better)
I'm also going to try dryer sheets cause some posted they used them and it seems to keep the vermits away.

Mixing little critters and classic cars can be a disaster. I know someone who had his old Jag XJ6 destroyed (well, at least rendered worthless) by a squirrel. During the course of about 2 weeks, the little bugger completely chewed up all underhood wiring. The cost of rewiring the car far exceeded the car's value.
Mice have infiltrated my attic but luckily not my cars yet. I use a combination of traps and poison to keep them under control. Nothing seems to prevent them from periodically returning though.

Aw man! Have you checked all your cars to make sure nothing is in them, no wires chewed up, no carpet damaged? Them critters are bad for a car..... I'd agree. I hope you get them out of there!
Hi `R.J,
Below is from E-How, but I've had several of the senior citizens say the same thing...I would try everything to stop them from invading your collection of Super Cars.
Besides the `Mice, I hope life is treating you good & that you got to enjoy driving one of your Classic's.
Keep us updated and let us know `if your murdered the invader's

Clean car inside! Clean it good! That means get all of the chips and pretzels that have fallen between the seats vacuumed out! Get the two month old slice of pizza too! do not give mice a reason to look for food in your car! If they find food they will stay and use your car for a home causing damage as they go!- 2
soap bars
I have experimented with this because I heard it worked! Over the years I have to say it does. Take two bars of Irish soap out of the box, place one on the floor board in front of each front seat. Place a paper plate underneath each! Mice don't like the sent put off by the soap! It works well for keeping mice from getting in and causing that damage we are protecting your car from! - 3
jacks stands
If storing the car for an extended amount of time, place the car on jack stands! This will help deter mice from entering your car! Get the wheels off the ground! This will not only keep mice from being able to cause damage to your car but it will also keep your tires from getting flat spots from setting! I remember someone on here recently showing pictures of his Monte destroyed by squirrels. If I remember correctly, it was a 5th gen. And the squirrels pretty much destroyed all the car's wiring.
