On some cars you can disable them via a Fuse.

I say google it. There so many ways to disable DRL's.

This is funny to me though because on my Avalanche I made the DRL's full time.

the venture is a minivan, correct? idk about anyone else, but it seems EVERY minivan i see, be it mopar, GM, or fomoco, they ALL have that problem.... 96 - 01 mopars have it the worst, though.... my dad has a 97 voyager he got for $300 at the begining of the year, ive seen nightlites brighter than his headlights, lol, caus they are fogged on the inside & outside... its like, 2 candelpower on the highbeams, lol.

It's where the lights rubber gaskets aren't sealing tight. Moisture is getting inside the assembly. If it wasn't for that, you woudln't have a problem no matter how bright or dim or hot or cold the thing is. My right rear taillight on the Monte does this every time I wash it.
