Can your Monte Last 1 Million Miles ?
#11
haha, space, im getting a summer job at bushkill falls, i only live 3 miles away!
i have to say, bushkill falls is in my opinion the nicest tourist actraction we have around, the owners take great care of the atractions and treat their employees fairly and kindly, and locals can bring proof of residency and get 1/2 price admition! a friends mom works there, so i might have an "in".
and unlike many places, the photos you found are pretty much how it is, a very senic place where you could spend the whole day and not get bored. my mom has old broshures from when my grandparents took her there as a kid, from about 1968, and from what she says they have made MANY improvements!
and thanks for the compliment, i think i am the 4th person to "obtain", er, uh, own my monte, no service records, unfortionitly, but it was maintained properly, most 5th gens you find are just beat, so i got pretty lucky.
i have gone rafting on the deleware, not alot of " white water " to go through, but very relaxing.
one time i went in a tube down the delaware with friends and we were flipping each other out of them.
as for fishing, trout season just started here, i might go with one of my buddies this or next weekend, gots to get my fishing liscence, tho.

personal duct tape experience - the glue melts in the hot sun after a while. about 9 years ago a friend of mine had a (what the heck was it called hold on i gotta go look it up...) like 88 or 87 honda prelude (aka the biggest POS i've ever been in). the glove box didn't latch closed anymore so she used 3 big pieces of duct tape to keep it closed. the interior of the car was so small and cramped that even my short little legs would hit the dash if i crossed my legs. i don't know how many times i got all sticky and gooey from the melted glue. and it didn't hold the glove box closed for more than a couple days before it had to be repositioned/replaced. so yeah. gross.

I know the Lincoln Continentals can. I have a 2003 Monte Carlo. I bought it with 70,000 km. In 2008 so 5 years old and I paid $8800 CAN .It's now 2021 and I have 367,000 km. I maintained it well, drove it through winters no problem with all season tires. I always say this car will never die. Unfortunately because of our harsh winters the rust is eating away at the undercarriage. Maybe if I had of had it oil sprayed I could hang on to it but I'm letting it go this week and I'm going to miss the heck out of it. Always reliable and never left me stranded. .There's still plenty of life in it. I can only dream they bring these cars back in the future. I'd be first in line.to purchase another.
