On one hand, I'm glad to see the talks for GM to take over Chrysler are off. But I would hate to see what would happen with our economy if the big three started declaring bankruptcy.
Would they be bought up whole by other companies like Honda, Toyota, etc.? Or would they be split up and bought in pieces. I can picture a company like BMW or Daimler buying up the Cadillac division. Another company buying GM's truck division. And so on.

 

It looks like the stories of GM waking up and smelling the coffee before it's too late are true.

Years ago people said they needed to get their heads out of their before it's too late. But did GM take heed of the advice? NOPE!

I for one would hate to see anything happen to GM. On the other hand perhaps this will get them to start paying more attention to the public when they say they want a V8, RWD Monte Carlo again.

 

NAH! They won't listen. Kinda like William Clay Ford has done with the Detroit Lions. Just run'em into the ground! This guy is goin to go belly up before he sells the Lions off. Too proud! MY team! It's all about me! Why do you think s made it big? Them and us! Then you have the new "American" automakers, like Honda, Toyota, and even Saturn that are non-, and typically, are doing ok. TEAM effort, not YOU and ME. As far as I'm concerned, LET GM and FORD go under! How many other auto companies have down thru the years! They won't be the 1st! VW is building a new plant here. How many others are? KIA? Hundyia, huyndya, hundia, WHATEVER!

BUT, I'm going to be REALLY pissed off if the government steps in and sticks their nose into their business. Too much government now. WAIT A MINUTE! LET'S RULE THE MIDDLE EAST SO WE CAN HAVE ALL THE OIL IN THE WORLD! Thank you for THAT one GWB! I hope he get's time for these war crime charges.

I think we need to put it on the ballot. Give it to 'em or not! WE decide! My vote is NO!
