That'd be nice. I mean are they just going to drop the G8 and Solstice? I prefer the looks of the Sky, but Saturn doesn't look too promising.

Agreed. Pontiac hasn't made anything all that great in a while, which is a shame, and also why they need to be phased out. The new GTO is ugly; the G8 is alright, but not worth keeping a whole brand around for one car. Honestly I think the Impala looks just as good as a G8.

Has GM done away with Saturn yet? There's a brand that needs to go. Oh and Hummer... yeah, needs to go too...

see now i do actually agree with part of what they are doing. but i think they should get rid of multiples of the same car. like the g5 and cobalt, keep the cobalt, the torrent and equinox, keep the ezuinox, and so on. then they should keep selling the g8, g6, solstice.
then you gotta look at ford and wonder why the hell they need two luxury brands........

2002 was the last gp coupe made. that's too bad i always like pontiac i was waiting to see the new trans am, but looks like that won't happen anytime soon.

I think it sucks that they are killing off variety and I think it will give GM a smaller share of the market. Is there anything wrong with wanting (for example) a 2 door coupe, and the dealership/ manufacture having more than one model to offer in my price range? That is why I go to GM dealership - Toyota does not offer this. With less models/ less brands we are being told what to like, not choosing.

its funny, in the 60s and 70s anyone trying to look cool could NOT have that extra set of doors, now i sit in homeroom and im overhearing a kid saying " i would rather have a four- door because its easer to get in the back". I almost puked.

it sucks there getting rid of pontiac, i woulda thought buick would go first, at the auto show the pontiac booth was just as crouded as by the camaro, while the buick booth ( i regret to say) had a few old folks, at least in their 70s milling about, and i think it was the least crouded booth in the second floor.
