WOW!!!! thats crazy who would think to do something like that. I have done the whole time capsule thing when i was in school, but it only had things that no one would really care about.(baseball cards, hot wheels,etc...)how would you like to be the winner of the plymouth.no matter what the condition it's in? could you imagine how stale the cigarettes are?

RE: BURIED 1957 PLYMOUTH
I googled the car over the weekend and looked over a few threads on different web sites. I wanted to pics of the actual car.
On a Mopar site they posted a Mopar dealer has offered up a brand new vehicle intrade to the winner of the car. The dealer wants to keep the car in a museum.
The Mopar guys seem to think if the car had been placed in a vault above ground, it would still be brand new. Not water damaged.
An AOL News story from over the weekend said they did try to crank the engine over but it wouldn't turn.
Just think of the people who were say 6, or 10, 15 at the time this car was buried and carried this with them for the past 50 years. Only to live to 2007 and see the car un-earthed looking like it does. Sad.

I was totally following this story. Ya it was real heart breaking to see the condtion of the car. All I hope is Boyd Coddington keep his grubby paws off of it. I want to see it resorted to it's former glory not all pimped out with 20 rims and metal flake paint.
