definitely looks like a malibu to me.
and i agree that "Caprice" conjurs up memories of the grandparents' ride. mine had a 1984 caprice classic that my dad sold 2 years ago for $6800 with 52,000 original miles on it. i learned to drive in that boat. *mmmeeeeeemmmmories....*
that new caprice = definitely not your grandparents car.

I kinda agree with the name conjuring up the "grand parent" thing.
BTW Jamie Lynn... I know what it was like to learn in a big car like that. I learned how to drive in my dad's 1979 Chevy Impala. My friends learned in Chrysler K-cars.

Not that it will be possible... but you can count on them changing it enough that the change will be impossible without serious fabricating skills, or at least that is my impression.
But this is what you can count on... they are going to listen very closely to most police departments and government agencies (FBI, DIA, Secret Service, US Marshalls, etc.), because they will be a gaurantee target market!!! As the Dodge Charger...

Good point.
GM hasn't really had a major contender for police use in years. The current Impala was the best they had for now, but not the greatest choice out there for police depts.
When I buy mine, I'm checking off the box for the police package.

Thank God my Dad sold his Oldsmobile 98 Custom Cruiser station wagon before I learned to drive. Could you imagine a 5 ft tall petite kid learning how to drive on that beast? Luckily for me we had a 84 Pontiac Sunbird to learn on.

amy, i was (and still am! ) 5' tall, or 5' short, depending on how you look at it. in the caprice, i could barely see over the steering wheel. the cordoba was much more comfortable and i could adjust the seats since they were buckets. i took just a few spins in the aries, which was my mom's, while learning, but she was scared to death and absolutely hated being in the passenger's seat when i was driving.
bless her soul, i can't imagine the look she'd have had on her face if she was alive when i bought the monte.

You guys are very brave LOL!!! I also forgot to mention that the Olds was from (I think) the mid 70s. Ya I'm still a little over 5 feet tall. The thing I am happy with is that I'm a little taller than my older sister LOL!
