Blizzard 2011 - pics inside
I left work yesterday at 3:45 and it took me 1.25 hours to drive 7 miles to my dads house. I parked on his driveway to wait till his neighbor got home. I almost didn't make it into his neighbors garage cause it was so slick out. I finally did and the 05 had shelter for the night. Just thank God I wasn't stuck out on Lake Shore Drive last night - people were stuck on the Drive for up to 7 hours
We got the driveway cleared, but as you can see they have yet to plow the street.
We won't be using our backyard anytime soon...

As of 6:30pm they still haven't plowed the street. I can just imagine the huge wall of snow that will be at the bottom of the driveway when they do finally come through.

Here's a few before and after pics. They don't really do it justice. There's actually about a foot of snow on the ground now.
Before:
Gratuitous shot of the Monte.
After I shovelled by hand. Note the small hills of snow from my shovelling.
Those are my pics. Anyone else got any? Please post `em!

We only had about 6 inches on the ground before we got hit - it really was an uneventful winter until yesterday
It ranked No. 3 in winter storms in Chicagoland history. But, they only go by how much snow O'Hare gets - we had more snow than O'hare 4-sure.
