For Ted to check out & for member's that know someone with a Ford Mustang.
Mustangs, focus of safety investigations

.

(AP) DETROIT — Safety investigators are looking into possible transmission problems in some 2011 and 2012 Ford Mustang models

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defects says on its website Sunday that it has received 32 complaints about an unexpected inability to shift into gear on Mustangs .

Some reports allege the problem occurred while merging into high-speed traffic. The preliminary investigation involves 26,000 vehicles.
FYI
UPDATE~>Just heard on the National News that the above is for stick shift 2011-2012 Mustang.
Ted, U R safe : )

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of the stock wheels. They're back on now actually.

It's terrible really. A lot of people are reporting issues with the MT82 on AllFordMustang. I hope a solid resolution is found.

I honestly don't know if this is true or not, but I read that the 6-speed automatic, which I have, is the same one used in V8 Jaguars and the Aston Martin DB9.

Even if it is true, you still drive a Mustang, not a DB9

That being said, the tranny should be bullet proof and capable of taking a beating with a lot of added HP.

Shove it, Mike!
