Bi-Monthly photo contest "Sunrise/Sunset"
We could do a die-cast theme sometime - I'd call it "Mini-Me". I could pull this off as I have various sizes of diecasts that look like my car. But I'd need to wait until the car is out of storage - probably next month.
Anyways, this submission thread was missing the closing date. We've let it ride for 10 days, which is longer than usual. I've seized authority that I do not have and started the voting thread here. So that mean submissions are closed.
Thanx and good luck folks!

I do not have the Mini-Me version and sought to bring forth additions to compliment your fine suggestion. It would be one to help members who enjoy photography use their hobby with the miniature cars. I think there could be fun simple dioramas made and the cameras macro feature used creating unique pictures. Montes at the track... say if someone had 5 mini's position them staggered side by side coming out of a sloped turn, perhaps a huge wreck with Fords etc. Light some cheesy minis you get from a thrift store afire as yours blows by them. The possibilities are really much more expansive than we can do with our actual Montes. The rules would be open to configuration by interested members, 1 contest a month or what ever etc. Your thoughts? After I previously wrote about this kind of got excited and looked on eBay for some mini's "1/24, 1/64" then thought nah, no one would want to do this. But if others were interested I would do something like this. There would be crappy submissions, over the top cool ones, but who cares as long as we had fun and got a few laughs.
So DriverNumber3 may have inadvertently gave rise to a new forum activity... Go Dale Sr...

I can see the use of the scaled models in the arrangement your putting forth. Many Monte owners have searched out and found as you put it "Mini_Me's". Those are pretty cool, you owners with the iconic cars are extra lucky in that there were some highly detailed renditions made for your Monte's.

When you are trapped away from home and bored to death the photo contest is something that I can sometimes participate in. Gives me something to look forward too.
So in this case that was my plan.
This Car is in 1:18th scale which is fairly large about 11 inches long and 3-1/4 inches tall. The detail is really great. I will make a post on the version and compare it to the life size one in photo's, soon.
I have a few of that scale in my collection at home tried to get a few of the Cars I owned back in the day.
Yesterday I was in Cedar Falls Iowa just a few miles from Waterloo and went to this store called Caboose Stop Hobbies and they have a model railroad in the basement and it was something to see. I attached a few photo's and a video of a very impressive layout.
