I think both black and blue with the decals looks great, but I think the blue looks better and more original.
I agree with Chibi's earlier comment, in what it would cost to get it painted (and painted right), you would be better off sourcing a black Monte and throwing the decals on. You're talking about changing the color, there includes hitting door jams and other not commonly seen/noticed nooks and crannies.

i have ALOT of scratches on the hood ect. and underneath all the stripes alot of the paint chipped off because the previous stripe pulled some off cause it was like adhered to the decals. (its hidden for now!) so if these stripes ever flake/fade/burn ill have to paint it after that.
true true, i could always have it redone blue with the stripes painted on. idk if id keep the side decals thoughh
I agree I think it'd be too costly with having to have the inside of the trunk, door jams and engine bay painted. In the end it'd be better just to buy a black one and put those decals on.
Painting the engine bay is a pain in the butt if you want it done right. Tons of prep work needed. I'd almost be tempted to just say paint everything else black and screw the engine bay. Almost. Personally, having the engine bay blue and everything else black would bug me.
