We have our own glossary thread stickied in the Forum Info section. Mainly for Monte Carlo or auto related terms.

New entries are added to the first post as members post into the thread.

The Urban dictionary is not for everyone. Due to the fact that the definitions are supplied by random people in teh interwebz, there will often be some completely ridiculous entries. I have had posts on this forum censored because multiple complaints were logged by members unable to differentiate truth from the preposterous.

The posted thread was helpful. We are all learning I think. Heck we make it up as we go.

IIRC used to confuse the heck out of me on another forum. Turns out it means, "if I recall correctly."

Internet slang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about slang used on the Internet. For jargon related to the Internet, see Glossary of Internet-related terminology.
Internet slang (Internet short-hand, netspeak or chatspeak) is a type of slang that Internet users have popularized, and in many cases, have coined. Such terms often originate with the purpose of saving keystrokes. Many people use the same abbreviations in texting and instant messaging, and social networking websites. Acronyms, keyboard symbols and shortened words are often used as methods of abbreviation in Internet slang. New dialects of slang, such as leet or Lolspeak, develop as ingroup memes rather than time savers.
