Had a pretty early start today, getting errands done, grocery getting, iced-coffee fix, etc. Then I popped into an autozone to pick up a new K&N oil filter for my car and went over to a Monroe shock/service center to get my oil changed to full synthetic.

It was a pretty good feeling pulling in there, ordering up the change, and the head guy says nice car. He was also surprised at the low miles when he asked. I knew however the real kicker was yet to come.

He called over to one of his techs, and told him "no test drives, keep it on the lot," as he was going to put it on the hoist. Anyways the tech goes out to get it, and he's looking it all up and down, you know the look. He has no idea whats yet to come.

He pulled it in and then I heard the "thunk" of the hood latch popping, I was paying close attention now. He goes around in front, and works the mechanism, and then - his eyes bugged out. I had to laugh as I saw that. He then called over to a couple of other techs/mechanics and they all gathered around to look at the bright-work and the supercharger. It was a mighty cool feeling.

Then the head guy gets called in to check it out, and he's amazed too. They spend about 5 minutes just looking at it, checking it out, etc. The head guy comes back in and says to me - "I bet you get that alot don't ya."

I said nope, first time I've had to take it to an oil change, but it has gotten some attention like that at some local shows."

What a great feeling. That made my day.

Thanks man. Have a great weekend yourself, and drive safe. Fast, but safe. You have a great looking car too.

I also took the plenum cover off the engine too, so it looks different than what you linked too.

Justin, I hope you get it worked out. If you were closer you could park a few at my shop. I would talk to them and see what is up. If you need some ideas let me know, I have been taking a ton of classes on difficult conversations.

Space thanks for checking on me. I am better today, but still a little sick.
