I am sorry that life will be more difficult for your nephew as if it wasn't already. I have no sympathy for people who drive under the influence. There is no excuse for getting behind the wheel when one is impaired.

Tom, I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew's van. In St. Louis, we have Call-A-Ride (run by the city bus system) for transporting special needs people to and from their jobs or schools. Surely a city like San Diego has a similar system??
