Oh wow that's awesome. I'd be all over that if I had the money.

That's been modified, hasn't it? The spoiler, the fender scoops, the silver ground effects - those weren't standard on '87's, were they???

The Earnhardt-ing of the car definitely looks like it was done after the fact. Dale didn't have the GMGoodwrench sponsorship deal until 1988. Before that he mainly drove the yellow and blue Wrangler jeans car.

If GM had made a Dale Earnhardt aerocoupe in 1987, it likely would've been yellow and blue. But I'll let Duane, our Nascar historian, have the last say on it.

I like it though. I'd buy it. Being an aerocoupe, it's definitely rare.

I have seen one before like it on Ebay. Said it was done at the DE dealership, maybe someone just copied this one. I have seen the ground effects before.

I'd love to have that and the 02 earnhardt edition to match

Nice looking Monte. I don't like the Areocoupe as much as everybody else here seems to.
1987 was the last year Dale drove for wrangler. He won 11 races and the championship(his 3rd). In 1988 he started driving for GM Goodwrench. So this car is just painted like Dale's 1988 car.
