Default 2022 was a pretty awful year for my Camaro

I don't know how much I've updated everyone on this site about anything that's gone on with my 2012 Camaro. Last year after I bought a new DD, I decided it was time to save up and build up my Camaro. I've never had a cammed/stalled v8, so I decided to take my car to a performance shop and get the L99 built. Long-story short, that engine blew up on the dyno and I had to buy a crate engine, build that one and put it in. I did create a thread on that issue here: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/of...2-build-63202/

All was great! I was loving life (and hating my empty wallet) but enjoying the Camaro despite what happened. Then on December 16th, a tree in my backyard decided that it no longer wanted to be standing and took out my whole garage, totaled my Buick TourX, and damaged the Camaro. 5 long months I fought with my insurance company to not total the car because of all of the money I had in it.

Well last week, I finally got the car back! New glass all around and a completely new paint job. She's looking better than ever!

Wow, that's an enormous amount of damage! Was the garage able to be fixed, or did it have to be rebuilt from scratch?

Glad to hear your Camaro could be saved.

The walls were still good for the most part, so I needed to get a new roof, bracing, and such. Added an attic up there while we were doing the work because I didn't actually have access to that space before, and added a bunch of lighting that wasn't there before too

Wow, seems like you came out of the whole thing ahead (besides the Buick of course). Camaro gets a brand new paint job and your garage gets a ton of new bonus space!

Its good to see they could save it - that place looked absolutely demolished from the tree!

I did pretty good on the Buick replacement too. 2020 CT5 Premium Luxury.

It's not my home, yet the pics of the tree and damage are still tough to see. This has been a long journey, but finally over! And the Camaro looks AWESOME!
