I liked the G8. Many people felt that when Pontiac met it's demise, GM should've rebadged the G8 the Impala and scrapped the current Impala design. Myself included. And who says they have to re-name it? IMO they don't need to re-name it. So the Nascar part of it is completely irrelevant. Nascar uses generic COT body shells that aren't shaped like any production car. They can print up G8 stickers just as easily as they do Impala stickers.

I'll take the G8 design over the Impala design any day.
