RJ, unless you enjoy repairing leaky Lower Intake Manifolds on a regular basis,
STAY AWAY FROM THE 3400 ENGINE.

I have personal experience with this, and millions of other 3400 engine owners (mostly used in 99+ grand ams and aleros) do too.

 

$11,500 for a wrecked car??? Are they out of their freakin mind??? ROFLMAO - and that's exactly what I would've done right there in front of them. Anything over3500 is too much IMO for that one. The PO was probably lucky to get 1K out of it.

 

I noticed the '05 with 3400 under the hood sure lacked something? Like HP.

Becky, I thought the same when the sales guy mentioned the price.

 

$11,500....yeah let me bend over and take that....I can't believe that they even THOUGHT they could sell it for that.

 

I told the sales guy about the '05 my local dealer has for the same price as his '01.

He sent me an email this morning telling me to enjoy my new '05 Monte. (like a smart @$$)

So I sent him an email back saying I will enjoy it and for him to enjopy his '01 cause he's going to be setting on it a LONG time.

What a jerk!!!!
