If you have bad winters, keep your stockers for a winter set.

Then you can run performance tires in the nice weather and a good set of winter tires in the winter. That's what I do

Serious wheel envy! That's a SWEET DEAL! I was after those wheels for my Monte, but given what the invested cost would be, I have decided to look for some sweet 18"s instead. But if I had that deal, I think I woulda jumped on that!

If I had room to store them, I'd get a spare set incase I damage mine. Or maybe "retire" the factory originals, and use the new ones.

Once again... Way to go on that great deal!!!

Thats is defiantly a good find. I missed out on a set of the chrome ones with tires this summer for about the same price.

I agree with allot of you.... I think I'm going to keep my 16 inch that I painted to look like the 17" I just bought. Ill use them in the winter and the 17s in the summer. I DO NOT was'nt them to get salt all over them because of the corrosion it causes. Also I'm not sure if you guys ever noticed, but when you get your tires BALANCED, NEVER get them balanced DYNAMIC (wheel weights on both sides) get them "STATIC" balanced, (wheel weights get taped to the middle of the wheel, the brake caliper side ONLY. That way you wheels will NEVER corrode from the leaded weights against the Aluminum clear coat. ( I was a Good*&^% Tire Manager for over 15 years) and have seen thousands of wheels messed up from wheel weights on the outsides of a wheel/rim.... Also, the guy I bought the wheels from said he thought he would NEVER sell them. (He had them labled wrong in his listing) and he said he had them listed for months and I was the ONLY person who called. He wanted $320 for them, but I offered $250 (I didnt know they were BRAND NEW IN THE BOXES) and when I meet him to pick them up, I about S*#@ !!! Brand NEW ! WOW, I swear, I felt bad, for a minute at least... Michael...

Good advice man. The factory put the traditional wheel weights on the outside edge of my Jr rims. I was dreading having to change the tires because I knew the clear coat would come off with the weights.

I'm not sure if GM still does that anymore. I want to say they use the static weights inside the rim on the more expensive models. But I'm not sure. Anyone know for sure?

I know 100% that my parents' 06 SS had the static weights on the inside of the wheel from the factory.
