While most girls her age obsess over Justin Bieber, teenager Kathryn Dimara is more riveted with cars.
The 14-year-old from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, has spent the last two years rebuilding a Pontiac Fiero from scrap.
Kathryn used her her pocket money from babysitting to buy the vehicle, which she hopes to complete in time for her 16th birthday.

The teenager bought the car using her own pocket money aged 12-years-old
Since beginning the restoration, Kathryn has been giving other car lovers tips
Her father Jerry revealed how a 12-year-old Kathryn pleaded with her parents, 'Dad, Mom, can we talk for a minute?' he told.
Jerry added: 'She presented us with something she had been thinking about. She said that she would like to buy a car with her babysitting money. We were like, you are only 12.'

After agreeing to oversee her venture, Kathryn has embarked on the long and arduous process with the aid of her dad and uncle.
That has seen her strip the entire interior of the car, except for the dashboard, the steering wheel and the carpet floor.
She has also sanded, spray painted and welded many components and even carried out the necessary upholstery work on her car.

Together with her father and uncle the trio hope to have the car ready in time for her 16th birthday

Kathryn's foray has even attracted the attention of many Fiero admirers, who have been asking her questions online.
The youngster who has purchased and fitted many parts herself has been responding to several queries.
She said: 'Okay this is new, people coming to me for car stuff. Interesting, but I'll give it my best shot.
'Thank you everyone for being so patient with me so just spread the word that I am back!
'But literally I'm glad to be working on my car again, I've missed my baby (when I refer to my baby it's my Fiero! Just to let you know).'

Shes from Mt Clemens Michigan...Thats my old stomping grounds! My prostetist is in Mt Clemens as well.. Its not a very big city, However The car show is right in the center of town!During the summer months..Also they have Mt clemens riverdays...With live bands, fireworks.etc......Been there a few times with my Monte in the Past...It still just 37 miles from where I currently live here downriver...
