11/13/08 + 11:46p = uncle time
I'm now an uncle! My sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Thursday, November 13, 2008, 11:46p. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 22" long. And the kid has a set of pipes!
An emergency C-section was done because the baby's heart rate was too low. Even so ... baby (James Eric) and Mommy (Joylyn) and Daddy (Eric) are doing just fine now. While Mom recovered from going under, we were able to visit the baby in the nursery. Then, after they wheeled my sister into a room (~2:30a) and brought the baby in to spend the night with Mom and Dad (~3:30a), I got to hold the little tike!
Then, about 4a, I went home, grabbed about 5 hours of sleep ... and off to work I went. Then, back to the hospital some Friday night and again some this weekend before my sister is released.
*grins devilishly*
And, yes, I'm going to corrupt this kid just as I've corrupted my friends' kids...!

WOW Cort, Congrats! Looking at thosr pics brought REAL joy into my heart to see such proud and happy parents, and a healthy new baby that GOD has brought into this world. (tears running). There is probably no hope for this young boy! I see his Dad has him decked out in BEARS attire, and with Dad being a Bears fan, just NO HOPE for this youngster! (LOL) Kidding aside, mom and dad and the young James have to be thankful that they have a FINE Uncle for this new child of theirs! God Bless You ALL!

I am HAPPY to report that Baby, Mom and Dad are HOME!!! They arrived home Sunday evening and are glad to be back home.

I am HAPPY to report that Baby, Mom and Dad are HOME!!! They arrived home Sunday evening and are glad to be back home.
