Hi Member's,
What is your favorite Auto Dash & Controls ?

I like the six generation Monte Carlo Dash & Gauges

Do you prefer gauges or Idiot Lights ?
I really prefer a dash with all gauges 4-Sure
like amp/oil pressure & temp/turbo boost

I like the classic look like the Monte has. I like the look of individual gauges. I think the gauges on the new cadillac cue system look pretty sweet too. https://montecarloforum.com/forum/of...-system-34468/

Thanks `Lou for your post & comments.
Yes, the Cue looks like a high-class arcade 4-Sure
GM is step'in `up & putting more detail in2 their interior's.
The upcoming ATS and XTS feature the new Cadillac User Experience (CUE) configurable dash and touch-sensitive center console. The images Cadillac has shown so far may be a mix of what is in the show cars and what will make it into production, but let’s look at some of the variety, shall we?
This view shows info on the configurable dash, including a photo caller id displayed on the dash to the left, MPH and compass top center, a 3D graphical representation of a gas pump with integrated meter right, gear selection bottom right, 4-wheel tire pressure status bottom center, and odometer bottom left.

From the published info:
Cadillac CUE integrates interior design with industry-first control and command technologies. It will debut in 2012 in the ATS and XTS luxury sedans and SRX luxury crossover. It features a 12.3-inch reconfigurable gauge cluster (on select models) and offers four selectable displays: Simple (shown), Enhanced, Balanced and Performance, which can mix between vehicle data, entertainment, navigation and 3D vehicle image.

This interior shot shows the dash configured for a ‘conventional’ gauge set albeit with tire pressure displayed in the center of the tachometer display.

This view shows a half-dial to the left with needle & conventional tach, flat-bottomed dial center with MPH, and a stacked gauges to the right.
Based on these I am hoping that Cadillac is bringing a user-selectable suite of gauge packages for the configurable display to market!

Wow impressive Space. I like gauges more than lights the more the better. I like the old school style sort of like on the console of the new camaro or some of the mopar's

I do like the gagues that have the neon or LED type glow to them.

Have always liked how the 6th and 7th Gen Monte's center stack curves and is angled towards the driver. I've also had quite a few passengers comment on that (with my '03 and now my '06), and that they really like it, because most cars center stack flat with the rest of the dash.

Have to give credit to the new '13 Chevrolet Malibu interior. Sat in the LTZ at the Detroit NAIAS and was immediately impressed. Guage cluster is a nice setup and hints Camaro. Chevrolet is making a comeback with their interiors. WAY better than the current Camry's interior.

Hi Tadd, & thanks for your post & comments 4-Sure.
Yes, I like gauges over lights..I like the Stewart/warner type gauges I've seen in some custom rides that shows everything that is going on in your engine +....

I know I liked my gauges more in my 05 Monte over my 06 Monte gauges (they were just to plain & deleted gauges)

^ Six Gen above ^
(Six & a half) or 7th Gen below

I was going to mod mine with white face but didn't

Did you mod your gauges...I know you have done many super mod's to your Monte S.S., but I will have to check you photo album again...
Wish you a Super Day & SuperSuper Mod's 2 your Awesomely Amaz'in Monte S.S. 4-Sure

I'd rather have guages. Idiot lights tell you there's a problem after it's too late. With guages, you can see the problem happening. Plus guages look better in general.
