Hey everyone. I worked until 1pm and then had to go to my Dad's house to clean. I just got home and now I have to start making dinner. I just sent my original PCM back to ZZP & Turbo Tim. I hope everything works out OK (he is going to tune my original PCM). He seems to think that Silver is not liking the other PCM, I think Sliver misses his original brain!

Robyn,

Normally on our cars when there is a squeak, it's because the mounts on top of the struts are worn out. They have a rubber bushing to prevent the squeaking, but over-time that rubber can wear out and you will hear the metal hitting and squeaking. I wouldn't necessarily say you need new struts because of this, it could just wind up being new mounts.

Amy,

I hope you get this all situated. It's posts like this that kind of encourage me to bite the bullet and get myself a tuner. I've been in a large debate over this very much recently, and I'm currently doing a lot of research lol.

I really can't shell out that kinda cash for the HP tuner that I'm probably going to use once. All I want is my code deleted and I really liked the way the canned tune made my car drive. I doubt it if I am going to do a pulley. If I do it will only be the 3.5 and the canned tune from ZZP will still be sufficient.

Hey everyone!

I had some work to do behind the scenes this morning, then headed off to bed. Midnight shift is really wearing on me. Can't wait for a day shift to come available.

Amy, ZZP should get that taken care of asap. I think the tuned original PCM will probably work better. Hopefully you don't end up at a dealer getting your original PCM re-tuned. Worst case scenario.

Don't you mean stealership???

Thanks chibi. I will have somebody I trust BETTER to look at my strut mount thingie rubber jobs (yea i'm REAL technical...) I think he's trying to soak more labor charges out of me. And he wanted to put MONROE struts on my car and i laughed.. i was like no frickin way are you putting their CRAP on MY CAR. If I'm getting struts I'm getting GOOD struts. Otherwise replace the rubber and shut the hell up quit trying to take money from me that I obviously do not have.

Next up...BODY WORK!!!!!!! My dad is ITCHING to get at that dent... man I can't wait to wash and claybar her... she's got so many swirls in that clear coat... anything y'all recommend to get rid of it?

Amy sorry to hear the problems you're having with silver's brain.... it's posts like these that make me shy away from doing something like that that can put my car out of commission.... otherwise I'll be driving daddy's minivan....BLECH!!!!

Amy, I know how you feel about the one-time use thing. Fortunately I'd be using mine more than once since I'm constantly working on my car.

Also my sister drives an Impala SS (L67) and my parent's have the V8 Monte, and the HP Tuner could do all 3 of those out of the box, 2 credits per vehicle, comes with 8 credits, so that's the reason I lean that way.

Robyn its his loss to break it off with you.
And today Ive been realy busy, I had work then lifting, and then tried to sell football cards. Then I went to my friends going away party. You guys might think its nothing to have a friend move, but when you had 9 guys in your class, and 3 move, it really hurts you, also hurts you in sports too.
