but mike says no on a supercharged buick with that many miles?? IDK, chalk it up as plain old goofy and thanks for all the messages to my dilemma!! also in three years my rugrat will be able to drive, so maybe i give her the 2001 monte, but then again she will probably want a BMW which will never happen!!

and there is no top swap for a 3.9 motor that i know of??

Chris I am no expert I would assume that the L67 can handle plenty of miles. The 3.8l is a great motor.

Yea, I am exhausted, i'm heading that way soon...

Check with other members on what they think of the L67 with high milage...I could be wrong, I don't know TONS about the L67...I am just telling you what makes general sense about any supercharged engine. You work an engine harder, put it under more stress, less life out of it overall...But who know GM might have a perfect blend on the L67 for performace and longitivity to the point that you could get 200,000-250,000 miles out of it..

Oh good news...Thanks to Todd for running my vin on Carfax, I got a report on my car...

NOTHING shows up on it. It just has everything as No Problem! Thats great news to me! The body shop told me it might not show up on Carfax because it was not totaled, and was fixed by an OEM certified, AAA approved body shop...but I would have thought even then it would be reported in the section "other accident/ damage" and would say something to the effect of accident, but repairable, repaired by OEM Certified Body Shop, and list the name of the shop that fixed it...but nope, it shows "no problems" in that section too! I'm Happy!

that is great, i would like to see the info on my car just to see who owned it before me and would like to see why the original owner sold it or traded it in! probably asking to much, but the person who originally owned it took off the factory wheels and replaced them with aftermarket wheels!!

I'd go for the Buick myself if the price was right. Yeah it's a lot of mileage, but if you do spend the time to modify it, you will start replacing gaskets and checking stuff out as you have the engine open.

The monte looks like it was hit from behind to me. Passenger light broken, looks like the bumper was hit and starting to rust...

(and it's green :P)
